The OB Farmers Market, Street Fair and Holiday Parade, all within walking distance of the volleyball courts.
Newport Avenue is a couple of blocks from the courts. Parking is much harder on all three of these days.
OB Farmers Market
Every Wednesday afternoon, rain or shine, Newport Avenue closes to traffic between Cable and Bacon, 4pm to 8pm. Produce, prepared food and crafts.
OB Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off
An all-day street festival along Newport Avenue with live music, food stalls and the chili competition it is named after. Entry is free.
The next one is Saturday 26 June 2027. Newport Avenue is closed for the day.
OB Holiday Parade
The OB Community Foundation runs an evening holiday parade down Newport Avenue in early December, with floats, marching bands and decorated cars.

Event-Day Parking and Street Closures
Newport Avenue closes for the Street Fair and the parade, and partially for the market. The beach lots fill early. See directions and parking for the alternatives.
